The Purple Fairys & The Mightly Lizards

Yup, those are their soccer team names!  Haha, I guess when you leave it to 4 & 5 year olds to decide, they come up with some pretty exciting names:)

This is both Bubba Love & Buddy Boy's first year playing soccer.  They have both been looking forward to it all summer and now that it is here they can't hardly contain themselves.
Even though they are on completely different teams, they both ended up purple!  #3 & #4.

The kids had their first games this past weekend and it was entertaining.
Bubba Love kind of understood what she was suppose to do, but was having a hard time keeping up with they slightly older/bigger kids.  She also was more concerned about snack time then game time!
Buddy Boy had absolutely no idea what was going on and he spent most of game time either chasing the bigger kids or picking grass.  Daddy and I tried to encourage him to try to kick the ball, and he did!!  Aww, the look on his face... he was SO proud of himself.
After seeing their performance, Daddy decided we should probably practice at home a little bit more:)

Bubba Love The Ball Player

Bubba Love started T-Ball a few weeks back and last Saturday was her first game.
She was so stinkin' cute in her uniform, and she was so excited to show us all that she had learned!

Here she as at the opening ceremonies!

Up to bat for the first time.  She hit it right away and it went far:)

Her coach at first, helping her along.

Then at second, she ran into her best friend.  They chit chatted while we were trying to yell to her to pay attention!

Chit chatting again with another coach... this girl LOVES to talk.
We say she is our extrovert in an introvert family.

Daddy and Buddy Boy enjoying the game.

She was in the outfield and bummed because not many balls get that far.

Cutie.
Good game!

At this age, they don't keep score.  So it was fun to just watch the girls play.
She now has 3 games a week... yikes!  It's a lot, but since she isn't in school she is loving the socialization.

Bubba Love the Cheerleader

Over the summer, Bubba Love started her first year of cheerleading!
She did great and LOVED it.  I think the best part about it (for her), was the girliness of it all.  I personally am not very girly, so it was awesome for her to be apart of something with bows, dress-up and girlfriends:)

Believe it or not, it was a really big time commitment.  I had no clue when I signed up that she would be practicing 3 days a week for up to 2 hours!  She had games every Saturday, a weekend long cheer camp and a cheer competition.

Here she is... at her very first day of her very first cheer camp.

Their first game, cheering on the boys as they came onto the field.

Cheering!

She was always trying so hard to get it right, that she would forget to smile!
So serious.

This particular week, she received the "spirit stick" for being the most spirited cheerleader.
Man was she proud... you can see it in her smile!

Cheese ;)

It was a really fun cheer season.  I wish I would have blogged about it then, because I am sure I would have some stories to tell... to bad I can't remember them!  That is why I need to keep up with these things, I feel like the days are flying by.

I am sure there will be many more years of cheer in our future!
