Crafting ~ Nesting Style

Over the last week I have had a few breaks from my kids... So I have been crafting!

First I made the new baby this cute minky blanket.
This is the first blanket I have ever made, it was pretty easy to make and super inexpensive.  I think these may be my new baby shower gifts!

Then with the left over fabric from the blanket, I made a boppy cover.
Baby C was breaking it in for us tonight:)

Then I saw a really cute, fast and easy tutorial for canvas photos here.
So I printed off a few of my favs from our recent family photo shoot and made them into canvas.
I am just waiting for Daddy to hang them up.... hint, hint!

Lastly, I made a birthday gift for one of Bubba Love's friends.
Her Dad told us she has too many toys, so I thought this was a great gift instead.

All these crafts are keeping me busy and my mind off of having a baby!  I am going to have to think of a few more things to craft this week:)  Any suggestions?

Pregnancy Update ~ 35 Weeks

Tomorrow I will be 35 weeks!
Time is FLYING by, its a good thing but I am still not 100% sure I am ready.

How far along: 35 Weeks
Weight gain: 21lbs
Symptoms: Tired and sore.
Food Cravings: Waffles with strawberries and whipped cream
Memorable moments: We had our baby celebration last Sunday.  It was lots of fun to spend time with family and friends!  Daddy's cousin made the baby a quilt and matching burp cloths...

Planning: I have been wanting a moses basket and rocking stand for the baby.  Most likely the baby won't sleep in it much, but I need a safe (and small) place to put the him/her down for naps.  So I found a really nice one on Craigslist for $35!!  Steal:)  They usually cost close to $200 w/ the stand!  The bedding was horrible, and I was inspired by our homemade quilt... So, I made matching bedding.

Oh, and a matching basket that fits perfect under the stand.

Birth kit is all ready and waiting.

Emotions: I am beginning to get excited for the baby to make its arrival!  I am also a bit overwhelmed by the fact that it's coming so fast... I feel like I have a lot on my plate now, and I am nervous about how another baby is going to change things:/
What I am looking forward to: A busy June!  Birthday parties, BBQs, our anniversary, fathers day, swim lessons and lots of playdates.  Trying to stay occupied while waiting and tire the kids out so that when the baby comes they can have a few TV days.

My Newest Addiction

Bow making!!
When Daddy and I were away on our weekend getaway, there was a cute little "shop" in the craft area at the fairgrounds. They had the cutest bows and I had to get one for Bubba Love!
When I got home and saw how much she loved it, I immediately wanted to make her some more:)
So after dissecting the bow I bought and watching a few YouTube videos online, we headed out to get ribbon and start crafting!
So in the last few days, this is what we have:

I have a ton of ribbon left over, so I plan to make more and either gift them or sell them.
But I am thinking a blog giveaway is in order... what do you think??

Homemade Mother's Day Gift

Mother's Day has come and gone, but I really wanted to share what we made for the Grandmas this year!  I couldn't blog about it before, because I know that both of them read this!  I found this super cute idea from Luxury Living Frugal Style.

It is really simple.  Fold, hole-punch, and tie they paper bags.

Decorate the inside with scrapbook paper, pictures and homemade handprints or poems.

The top opening of the lunch bag makes a great pocket for additional pictures.

This was a easy, fun projects that even the kids helped out on.
Don't wait until next mothers day to make one,  they make great gifts for any occasion!

Oh, and did I mention that the Grandmas LOVED them ;)
