We've Been...

We've (the kids and hubby) been sick!  These last two weeks have been sleepless nights, high fevers, breathing treatments, double ear infections, nasty coughs and lots of snuggling.

BUT!!  There were a lot of other things going on too:)
Believe it or not, life goes on even when the family has the flu!

So we've been...
Pulling ourselves up onto furniture (at 7 months!!)

Crashing

Climbing

Eating lots of fresh eggs

Running

Having dirt road date nights with my man

Watching Peter Pan... Over and over

Getting ready for kindergarten

Doing some late night reading

Sick and pathetic:(

Doing yard work

Bonding with Sugar

Yes, life goes on... WAY too fast!

Weekend Festivities

This weekend went by in a flash!
Our original plan was to stay home and work on the kids attitudes (they have been having a few issues lately) but miraculously they made a quick adjustment, which meant we got to go have some fun:)
I was SO glad they did because this was the first year we were able to go to our small town's Christmas celebration!
There were carriage rides, crafts, lunch, cupcakes and all the kids got 3 gifts each!!
It was amazing to see what the community club puts on for the town kids... I have said it before and I will say it again, I LOVE my small town!!  The people are amazing and I am happy to belong here:)

They also had over a dozen bikes that they raffled off.  Each kid was given a ticket and they could put it in for which ever bike they wanted.  We didn't expect to win anything, but we stuck around until the announcements and Baby C won!!!!  He was SO excited:)  Lucky Boy.

After that was over we headed to a local tree farm with some friends to get Christmas trees.
I was pretty spent from the day, so I let Daddy and the kids pick a tree while I took pictures and nursed the baby.  They did a really good job!

We spent the rest of the evening having dinner with our friends, so we didn't have time to set up or decorate the tree.  We got the tree up Sunday morning but had lots of chores to get done, so the kids waited until the sun was down to decorate!
They sat patiently while Daddy and I put the lights on and then got busy putting on the ornaments.  Luckily there was only one ornament that they broke and it wasn't a special one:)

2 Wheels!

Look at Buddy Boy go!!

We bought him a little 50 dirt bike, but told that before he could ride it he had to be able to ride his bike without the training wheels.  Twenty minutes later he's a pro!!

I am SO proud of him:)

The Purple Fairys & The Mightly Lizards

Yup, those are their soccer team names!  Haha, I guess when you leave it to 4 & 5 year olds to decide, they come up with some pretty exciting names:)

This is both Bubba Love & Buddy Boy's first year playing soccer.  They have both been looking forward to it all summer and now that it is here they can't hardly contain themselves.
Even though they are on completely different teams, they both ended up purple!  #3 & #4.

The kids had their first games this past weekend and it was entertaining.
Bubba Love kind of understood what she was suppose to do, but was having a hard time keeping up with they slightly older/bigger kids.  She also was more concerned about snack time then game time!
Buddy Boy had absolutely no idea what was going on and he spent most of game time either chasing the bigger kids or picking grass.  Daddy and I tried to encourage him to try to kick the ball, and he did!!  Aww, the look on his face... he was SO proud of himself.
After seeing their performance, Daddy decided we should probably practice at home a little bit more:)

Camping Craziness

This past weekend we decided to go camping.
Everyone I told said I was crazy for taking 4 kids camping... including a newborn.
I didn't think it would be that bad.  We borrowed my parents trailer, packed LOTS of stuff, choose a "luxury" camp ground with a pool and mini golf, and hoped for the best.
Did I mention we went with another family?
Yeah, we had 7 kids 6 and under!
All in all, it wasn't that bad.  It was pure craziness the whole time and there was NO relaxing until the kids went to sleep, but we all had fun!
The kids love camping and we are enjoying making memories, even at the cost of our sanity at times:)

Squeak spent most of the time in the Ergo... I love baby wearing!

Bonding:)

Getting dirty!
This is the first time we have went camping in a trailer and there is no way I will ever tent camp with kids again.  It makes life so much easier!

Our Last Month

I am a bit behind in blogging (I wonder why!)
So I thought I would catch up with one BIG post about our activities this last month!

4th Of July!
This was our first outing with all 4 kids:)  Squeak was 9 days old and oh so tiny!
My Facebook post that day was:
Things I have learned this morning: It takes forever to get 4 kids ready to leave, I need a bigger vehicle, Lake boys are accidents waiting to happen, and I love the craziness of having a big family;)
And looking back, it is still all true!

We went with friends to a small town parade, where the kids were showered with candy and attention

We BBQed at friends and then headed home for fireworks with Yammie & Baba

Day at the lake
My parents went camping at a lake about 30 min from our house, so the kids and I packed up and visited them for the day (Daddy came after work).  The kids LOVED so much that they convinced Yammie to take them camping this last weekend!

Corn Festival
We went to a local corn festival... there wasn't too much for the kids to do, except this giant slide!

Playing @ Home
We have been spending 90% of our time at home the last few weeks.
Last week we got bored and I got the paint out for the kids!

Also, we have been doing lots of snuggling.
